John St. Amand
Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, John is responsible for driving global adoption of Movik’s technology by mobile operators and scaling the organization to meet customer commitments. John is an experienced and successful mobile telecommunications executive who has been widely recognized as an entrepreneurial leader resulting in many industry accolades, including Deloitte & Touche's Technology Fast 50 and Rising Star, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, Mass High Tech All Star, Massachusetts Telecom Council Product and Liquidity Event of the Year, and Massachusetts Telecom Council Board of Directors. Most recently, John was a Venture Partner with Highland Capital Partners where he specialized in working with companies focused on mobile technologies. Prior to Highland, he was President of Alcatel-Lucent’s Multi-Core Networks and Lucent Technologies’ Converge Core Networks (prior to the merger with Alcatel), John was responsible for managing multi-billion dollar businesses encompassing mobile and fixed core network elements from both companies. Before Alcatel-Lucent, he was the Founder and CEO of Telica, which built mobile and fixed core switching equipment. The company secured more than 60 customers, including many incumbent operators around the world. Telica was acquired by Lucent in 2004 for $330 million. John received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.

Greg Alden
Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations
Greg is responsible for bringing Movik’s technology and products to the global market. Prior to joining Movik, Greg was the Chief Operating Officer of Nexius Wireless a RF engineering, consulting, and carrier analytics software company. Previously, Greg was at Starent Networks, where he was the Vice President and General Manager for the Americas. At Starent, Greg was responsible for sales, delivery, and overall go-to-market strategy for the Americas which was instrumental in Starent's IPO in 2007. Before joining Starent, Greg spent several years at Cisco Systems most recently as Operations Director, U.S. Mobile Operations where he was responsible for all mobile operators in the United States. The business represented over $500M in annual sales and services to Cisco, as well as, several of their largest service provider accounts worldwide. Prior to Cisco, Greg held sales and sales management positions at Arrowpoint Communications and Compatible Systems, both of which were acquired by Cisco.

Pramod Kalyanasundaram, PhD
Vice President of Worldwide Engineering

Pramod is responsible for developing Movik’s products and services. Most recently, Pramod was Vice President of Engineering at 3Com Corporation and responsible for managing distributed global R&D teams and delivering VoIP, security, and next generation product lines for the enterprise market. Prior to 3Com, Pramod was Vice President of Engineering and member of the founding management team at Camiant. Under his leadership, Camiant policy control products were successfully certified and deployed in several operator networks worldwide. Previously, Pramod managed distributed R&D teams building products for the service provider market at Lucent Technologies, which he joined through the acquisition of Ignitus Communications, a provider of high-speed metro optical communications equipment. Prior to joining Lucent, at Blair Computing, Pramod developed computer telephony software products that have been deployed internationally. Pramod was part of the core team at CDOT, India, which developed PBXs, rural exchanges, and Class 5 switches for the Indian market. Pramod has a PhD in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.  

René Tio
Vice President of Product Management

René is responsible for driving product strategy and development to meet the needs of Movik’s global customer base. Prior to his current role, René was Senior Director of Product Management at Starent Networks, where he was responsible for the GSM/UMTS, LTE, CDMA, and WiMAX packet core product portfolios that resulted in more than $200M in revenue annually. René has also held senior product management positions at Redback Networks and senior engineering positions at Cisco Systems and Nortel Networks. René has nearly 20 years of mobile and broadband data expertise, including co-authoring two Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard RFCs and being heavily involved in designing the packet data delivery architecture with the ADSL Forum. René has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and attended the post-graduate program at McGill University, Montréal.
